Celebrating Success: Maharishi School Ranks Among Lancashire’s Top Ten Secondary Schools
With secondary school applications closing soon, parents across Lancashire are looking at which schools offer the best opportunities for their children. We’re delighted to share some fantastic news: Maharishi School is ranked #9 in Lancashire for 2025 GCSE results! [Lancashire Evening Post 28/10/2025 http://bit.ly/491WijH]
While Progress 8 scores, which measure pupil progress from primary through to GCSEs, aren’t available this year due to COVID-related disruptions, the government has released Attainment 8 scores, showing how pupils performed across eight key subjects, including English, Maths, and the sciences. And our students have truly shone.
This ranking reflects the dedication, curiosity, and hard work of our students, supported by a passionate and committed staff team. At Maharishi School, we’re proud to provide a nurturing and high-achieving environment that supports every pupil from their very first day in Reception through to the end of secondary school.
As an all-through school, the best way to secure a place in our oversubscribed secondary school is to apply for a place in our primary school. Applications for Reception Class starting September 2026 close on 15th January 2026 – don’t miss your chance to join our school community.
For families of pupils already in Year 6 at Maharishi School, a place in secondary school is automatically secured, as our students transition smoothly from primary to secondary. Please note that for external applicants, contact the school directly on 01695 729912 to be added to the waiting list.
We’re excited to continue building on this success and welcoming the next generation of students to our school community. ????
