A Christmas Carol – Trip to St. George’s Hall – Years 8-10.

As the classic book A Christmas Carol is studied at GCSE level, last half term pupils from years 8-10 enjoyed a trip to the historic St. George’s Hall in Liverpool to see a unique production of A Christmas Carol performed by Charles Dickens’ great-great-grandson, Gerald Dickens.
This talented actor and gifted storyteller brought to life the wonderful characters in this timeless classic. It was made especially atmospheric knowing his great great grandfather stood on the very same stage to give his famous “penny readings”.
The stunning Concert Hall with its ornate gold columns and glistening chandelier made the pupils feel like they were back in time with Mr Dickens.
