Secondary Year 11
knowledge is structured in consciousness
IN THIS SECTION
Year 11 is truly the fulfillment of 12 years of education at the Maharishi School. This is the year when pupils are given the opportunity to showcase what they have learned during all those years, in their final GCSE exams. We take them step-by-step through practice exams, mock exams and frequent revision sessions to ensure all subject material is understood and they feel well prepared for the examination process.
It is also an opportunity for them to show how they have grown in character and life skills when they are made prefects and mentor prefects. Several year 11 pupils are now finishing their Silver Duke of Edinburgh in their last year at school.
While the pace is stepped up in year 11, at Maharishi School we also step up the support. Each pupil has a one to one mentor teacher who supports them throughout their final year in school with goal setting, study skills, staying on track but also, and even more importantly, making sure that they stay focused without stress.
We are always really proud of the academic achievements of our pupils; but we are even more proud of the wonderful, well-balanced young people they have become when they leave us to carry on with their future.
