Dr Ian Birnbaum, OBE

Ian is a Member of the Free School and Chair of the Governing Body.  He is a former London Local Authority Chief Executive and Director of Children’s Services.  He has 40 years’ experience in education, much of it at very senior levels, and he founded, developed and implemented the London-wide coordinated school admissions system. Ian retired in 2011 and received an OBE for services to local government.
