Secondary Curriculum – History
knowledge is structured in consciousness
IN THIS SECTION
Our course traces the history of Britain from the Norman Conquest of 1066 to the Industrial Revolution 1851. It is a fascinating story and I thoroughly enjoy teaching my pupils about the events which made our small island into Great Britain. As part of the course we visit Speke Hall, the Liverpool Museum, the Mining Museum, Quarry Bank Mill and the Medical Museum in Leeds. During all our visits, we have been complimented on the good behaviour (and enthusiasm) of the groups – which sums up the nature of our pupils!
