This week’s Word of the Week is ‘Sycophantic’. The Oxford dictionary’s definition of this word is:
‘Behaving or done in an obsequious way in order to gain advantage’.
i.e. ‘I think some people thought I was a creep, offering sycophantic praise of someone who happens to be my boss.’
We can all improve our word power by understanding and using the Word of the Week to give us great communication skills.
